Jefferson County Master Gardeners are leading some of the gardening programs at Farmington.

Are native plants weedy and invasive? Will your garden or landscapes look messy if you include them? This class will briefly discuss native plants in a general way: what are they; what does a native garden look like; and the argument for including natives in your planted spaces. Then, we will focus more specifically to define a sun versus a shade garden and look/describe specific natives that you should consider adding to sunny spots in your gardens and landscapes.  

No Fee, open to teens and adults

This will be held in the Carriage House. Park near the Pavilion and enter thru the back door of the Carriage House by the Kitchen House.
