Lessons Learned Garden Tour: "Possibilities for an Average Sized Suburban Garden"

Three Master Gardeners are sharing their gardens! Explore and collect ideas for vegetable and perennial gardening, attracting pollinators, and raising chickens! This is a Free event.

Garden 1 - 3408 Gonewind Drive

More like a country garden than an edited space, this garden, as described by its owner, is “exuberant and eclectic and intentionally weedy, where serendipity and design are engaged in an ongoing but congenial competition”. Planted densely and layered, very biodiverse, with lots of natives and native cultivars, blooming from Spring to the beginning of Winter, this habitat patch is a delight to its humans and its fauna. A seed planting activity is offered to children that attend.

 Garden 2 - 7600 Tempsclair Road

Featuring many lovely hydrangeas, this garden is a working oasis! Raised beds provide vegetables and chickens provide eggs! A plant sale will also be at this location.

garden 3 - 2402 Boulevard napoleon

In the Highlands, this little slice of heaven caters to pollinators, has a few veggies, and offers privacy. A tip table will be at this location for all of your questions & informational needs along with a seed giveaway!
